The recipient should be a student at Baruch College who is a senior with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, including grades for the semester ended prior to the distribution and the filing of a completed Zweibel Scholarship application. He/she should have been or be currently active in a type of hands-on community service, examples of which include but are not limited to soup kitchens, homeless services, Big Brother/Big Sister, hospital volunteer or childrens’ charity. He/she will have evidenced through statement, inquiry and course work that he/she plans to attend law school after graduation. Candidates must submit a statement on either a legal topic or on why they want to attend law school. A copy of the personal statement accompanying one of their law school applications will satisfy the criterion in the preceding sentence. The recipient of the Zweibel Scholarship must have received an offer of admission from a duly accredited law school.
